Health Club FAQs

  1. What should I bring?
    Please bring your towel, water bottle and wear gym attire and enclosed footwear.
  2. Can I bring a friend?
    Yes, you can bring a friend. Your friend will need to sign in at reception and complete a pre-exercise questionnaire. Casual entry cost of $15 applies.
  3. Who can I ask if I’m not sure how to use equipment?
    Please ask our friendly gym staff, if we are unavailable, scan the QR code on the machine to get a demonstration.
  4. What happens when I join?
    After you join, you will be given an orientation of the club, this could take around 10-15 minutes, this is a great opportunity to ask us any questions that you may have. After your orientation you can book your FREE 30-minute Personal Training session. You can use this session to do some goal setting with the Personal Trainer or get a better understanding on how to use the equipment.
  5. If I choose to cancel my membership, can I do so? Or am I locked into a contract?
    You are never locked into a contract and at The Cut Health Club we understand your circumstances change, all we require is an email or fill out the form in club and its just 28 days notice.
  6. Can I freeze my membership?
    Absolutely! For whatever personal reason you have, you can freeze (or put your membership on hold) for up to 4 weeks per year. Either send us an email or come in club and fill out the form.
  7. Is there a minimum age requirement to join?
    There is no minimum age to join, however, at sign up, if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian to sign the consent form. Furthermore, if you are under 16 you MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of your workout. The parent or guardian must also be a Cut Health Club member.
  8. What happens if I lose my membership card?
    Please speak to reception regarding getting a replacement card. Fees apply.
  9. When should I expect to see results?
    Results from your fitness workouts will vary according to your goals, training routine, nutrition habits and lifestyle. For best results it is recommended to have personal training. Contact us for more information about PT sessions.
  10. I am new to the gym, who can I ask for advice/tips?
    If you are new to the gym, please book in for a Fitness Appraisal and Gym Induction with our Health Club Manager, Mitch Russell.
  11. Are staff trained in first aid?
    All gym staff are fully qualified and have current First Aid and CPR.
  12. I am pregnant, is it still safe to work out?
    It is recommended that you seek approval from your GP to ensure you are ok to exercise. Personal Training sessions are strongly encouraged.
  13. Are there quiet periods during the day to attend the gym?
    Peak times are usually 6am-10am and 4pm-close.
  14. Are the Small Group Training Classes Free?
    Yes they are free for members, but to avoid missing out, please book to reserve your spot as classes are capped at 12 people per session, to ensure that each participant is receiving the guidance and any assistance they require.
  15. Do I need to be fit to participate in the Small Group Training Classes?
    Small Group Training classes are for everyone, please speak to the instructor before the session commences to discuss your concerns.
