The Cut Blue Tree Project
Spread the paint, spread the message #BlueTreeProject
The 7th hole at The Cut Golf Course is now home to a blue tree. The new feature on the course was painted on the 27th of August to support Mental Health Week, raise awareness around mental wellbeing and help reduce the stigma.
The blue tree will serve as a visual reminder to spark the mental health conversation, being there for your mates. Next time you see the blue tree during your round on the 7th hole, remember to check in with your golf buddies and remind them you are here for a chat whenever they need. If you are looking for someone to chat to, the team at The Cut are always here for you. It’s OK to not be OK.
The Cut Committee would like to thank Laurie Steel, Jeff Lewis, David Caudwell, Gavin Leeder and Lisa Flynn for helping launch this great initiative at The Cut and giving the dying tree a new lease on life. Another big thank you to Dean Templeton at Bouvard Painting for supplying the paint and Kennards Hire for providing the Cherry Picker.
The Cut plans to host and sponsor a charity event in 2022 in support of men’s mental health, in addition to yearly charity golf days raising funds for Breast Cancer and OVIS Community Services, supporting children impacted by family and domestic violence.
